What is micro-needling?
When you have a micro-needling treatment, your skin is punctured with hundreds of tiny holes using a specialized needle pen. This causes your skin and body to release collagen and elastin into the area. As a result, your skin is thickened, and it reduces wrinkles. This method is one of the less invasive facial techniques.
What is microdermabrasion?
This treatment renews your skin’s overall texture and tone. It can help treat acne scarring, fine lines, age spots, melasma, wrinkles, and sun damage. During this treatment, a unique tool will be used to gently sand away the outer, often thick, layer of skin to help rejuvenate it. It is considered to be safe for most skin types and colors.
What is dermaplaning?
This treatment is the physical exfoliation of the skin using a sterile, surgical scalpel. Much like a chemical peel removing the top layer of skin, our provider will gently “shave’ the skin’s surface. They will remove the topmost layer of dead skin. If any vellus hair is there, also know as peach fuzz, that will be removed too. This procedure may need to be repeated monthly to maintain results.
What is a chemical peel?
During a chemical peel, specialized solutions are applied to the skin. There are a variety of different types of chemical peels, depending on the results you are looking for and how “deep” of a peel you would like. Generally, these chemicals cause the skin to blister and peel off. The skin underneath is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Certain precautions are needed after a chemical peel as your skin is often more sensitive to the sun.
